Aerial View of Amsterdam Depicted in Hotel Carpet

Waalwijk, The Netherlands, July 27, 2009--Underlining how good design can start on the floor, carpet manufacturer Desso has provided unique carpeting for a 215-bedroom hotel in central Amsterdam.
 
The CitizenM Hotel has carpeted five floors of bedroom corridor with 650 square meters of carpeting depicting an aerial view of the Dutch capital.
 
The Amsterdam city center image was taken from a satellite photograph, and rendered in a number of colourways for CitizenM to choose from.  The unique pattern in one of the corridors is 60 meters long.
