Advanced Adhesives Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Dalton, Georgia, January 11, 2007--Advanced Adhesives Technologies is celebrating their twentieth year in business with a major expansion project and new leadership for the company. Since 1986, AAT has developed and manufactured an extensive line of hard and soft surface flooring adhesives, hot-melt seam tapes, and subfloor preparation products. AAT co-founders Benny Wood, CEO, and Howard "J.R." Burchett, CFO, have named Gregory P. Wood as the company's new president. Greg Wood has 14 years experience at AAT, working in every phase of the company from product development to sales and marketing. Benny Wood, who says he will continue with the company in an advisory capacity, says Greg Wood has "positioned himself to lead this company and to maximize our new facilities for future sales growth, new product development, and expanded distribution." Recent building and adjacent land purchases have more than doubled the company's existing space. A new, 28,000 square-foot facility houses new offices, a research and development facility, installation lab, and training center. Future plans call for a shipping and distribution center. Greg Wood's career in the flooring industry began in 1989. Before coming to AAT he was with Harbinger and Mannington Carpets. He is married to Melissa and they have two children, Luke, 10, and Kate, 8.
