ADP Report Shows Continued Job Expansion

Roseland, NJ, April 4, 2012 -- Private-sector employment increased by 209,000 jobs in March, led by the service-providing sector and small businesses, according to the ADP employment report.

The February number was revised to a gain of 230,000 from a prior estimate of 216,000.

Economists expect the Labor Department to report Friday that nonfarm payroll employment rose 200,000 in March, compared with 227,000 in February.

They also expect that the unemployment rate declined to 8.2% from 8.3%.
