ADP: Payroll Up 64, 000

New York, May 2, 2007--Automatic Data Processor reported an increase in payrolls of 64,000 in April, sharply below the expectations of a rise by about 110,000 new employees.

There was also a downward revision on March data to a 98,000 increase, instead of the 109,000 new jobs previously estimated.

The ADP estimation count only for private sector jobs, public sector jobs are not accounted. In March there were 24,000 new government jobs in a total amount of 180,000 new jobs
