Adams Promoted to CEO of Avalon Carpet

Cherry Hill, N.J., April 4, 2008-- Maryanne Adams has been named president and CEO of Avalon Carpet Tile and Flooring.

Adams, a 20-year veteran of the firm, has been executive vice president for the past 12 years. Founder John Millar died in March.

Adams is now the highest-ranking woman among the top 10 retailers.

With 14 stores in three states, Avalon is the sixth largest flooring dealer.
