Cincinnati, OH, June 27--Federated Department Stores named Timothy M. Adams chairman of Macy's Home Store, replacing Eric Salus, who resigned the position to pursue other interests.
Adams is currently chairman of Macy's Florida division and has served in that capacity since April 2001. His new appointment is effective July 25.
Previously, he served as president of what is now known as Macy's Northwest and was previously named Bon Marche.
Macy's Home Store, based in New York, handles the buying, merchandising and selling of home furnishings at Federated's 423 Macy's stores nationwide.
Salus was named head of Macy's Home Store in April 2004, when the centralized home store operation was formed.
