Action Floor Verifies Negative Carbon Footprint

Mercer, WI, May 1, 2012 -- Action Floor Systems, manufacturer of premium hardwood maple and supplier of synthetic sports floors, said it has been certified as a Negative Carbon Footprint provider.

A Life Cycle Assessment was conducted by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the University of Wisconsin.

Action Floor’s mill, the company said, is the only one accredited by the Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association to receive the credential.
 
Negative Carbon Footprint certification reflects a sustainability-based manufacturing model, with verified adherence to ISO 14000 standards.
