Acadian Flooring America Suffers Significant Fire

Marrero, LA, January 9, 2026-A fire broke out at Acadian Flooring in Marrero, Louisiana before noon on January 8, reports WDSU News. 

The building suffered significant damage.

Acadian Flooring America was founded in 1980 by Don Barge as Acadian Carpet Center. Don’s daughter Terri joined the business straight out of high school and serves as secretary-treasurer.  Terri’s husband, Timothy, has worked in the company for more than 35 years. Their daughters, Brittany and Lindsey, along with son-in-law Josh, have joined in the family business.
