ABC Carpet & Home to Offer Spa Services
ABC’s ABC Om Mind, Body & Spa will include holistic healing for mind-body balancing, along with massage and Ayurvedic therapies, the company said on its Web site. The showroom spa, with healers from New York's Chopra Center, is part of a month-long promotion, Gateway to India, beginning Feb. 16, that grew out of ABC chief executive Paulette Cole ' s interest in Eastern religions, Crain ' s New York Business reports. Shoppers paying $75, for instance, can receive Shirodhara, in which a soothing stream of warm oil flows over the metaphysical third eye between the two eyebrows to create a meditative state. Or they can choose Abhyanga, with two masseuses using gentle strokes and warm herbal oil.
The spa also includes yoga and meditation sessions, the company said.
