Orders for Manufactured Goods Up 1.0% in February
Washington, DC, April 4, 2017—New orders for manufactured goods in February, up seven of the last eight months, increased $4.8 billion or 1.0% to $476.5 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau reported. This followed a 1.5% January increase.
Construction Spending Rose 3.0% YOY in February
Arlington, VA, April 4, 2017—Construction spending in February totaled $1.192 trillion at a seasonally adjusted annual rate, up 0.8% from January and 3.0% from the February 2016 level, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America.
Goods and Services Deficit Declined in February
Washington, DC, April 4, 2017—The goods and services deficit was $43.6 billion in February, down $4.6 billion from $48.2 billion in January, revised, the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, through the Department of Commerce, announced.
