Existing Home Sales Hit Ten-Year High in March with 4.4% Increase
Washington, DC, April 21, 2017—Existing-home sales took off in March to their highest pace in over ten years, and severe supply shortages resulted in the typical home coming off the market significantly faster than in February and a year ago, according to the National Association of Realtors.
Dept. of Commerce Imposes Tariffs on Chinese Hardwood Plywood
Washington DC, April 21, 2017—The Department of Commerce preliminarily found that the Government of China unfairly subsidizes its hardwood plywood producers and imposed preliminary countervailing duties on Chinese hardwood plywood imports, ranging from 9.89% to 111.09% for the mandatory respondents and 9.89% for all other Chinese hardwood plywood producers.

Crossville Recycled 21 Million Pounds of Porcelain in 2016
Crossville, TN, April 20, 2017—Officials with domestic tile manufacturer Crossville Inc. have announced the company recycled 21,131,930 pounds of fired porcelain in 2016, bringing the company’s cumulative recycling total to just over 91 million pounds since the 2009 launch of the Tile Take-Back program and subsequent Toto USA recycling partnership.
