63% of Iran’s Hand-Woven Carpets Exported to Germa
Tehran, Iran, October 24, 2005--In the first half of this year, Iranian hand-woven carpets worth $197,141,000 have been exported abroad; 63% have been sent to Germany and the United States, according to Mehr news.com.
Iran’s hand-woven carpet exports have declined by 5.6% in comparison with last year.
The exportation of handicraft, including hand-woven carpets, has been worth $262,000,000 this year in comparison with last year shows 14% growth.
Turquoise and precious stones have been the second largest exported commodities after hand-woven carpets this year.
