4th Annual Anso Nylon National Carpet Sale Set for

Dalton, GA, August 17--The fourth annual Anso Nylon National Carpet Sale will begin on Sept. 1. and run through Oct. 15, 2005, with a record number of floor covering retail locations participating in the 2005 event. With more than 1,600 dealer locations pre-registered, participation for this year’s sale is up more than 45 percent from 2004. The sale includes new components in 2005, including an enhanced retail salesperson sweepstakes, additional opportunities for dealers to increase their co-op earnings and a cash rebate for consumers. "Past success of the Anso Nylon National Carpet Sale has allowed us to increase incentives for our participating dealers as a way potentially to generate more in-store traffic and higher sales volume," said Ann Merino, Honeywell Nylon merchandising and brand marketing manager. "With more than 1,600 dealer locations registered for the 2005 promotion, we anticipate the event to energize sales and make this fall a tremendous selling season for our dealers." The theme for the 2005 Anso Nylon National Carpet Sale, "Harvest of Color," reflects the warm colors of the season and the increasing variety of carpet color selections available to homeowners. For this year’s promotion, retail salespeople at participating dealers will have the chance to win a sweepstakes in which five retail salespeople will receive an all-inclusive cruise to either the Caribbean or Alaska. Participating retail salespeople can also earn a $20 bonus for every qualifying sale of carpet made with Anso nylon. Participating Anso Advantage Account (AAA) dealers will receive an automatic 50 percent co-op bonus on all purchases of styles made with Anso nylon during the sales period. Dealers can also earn bonuses from 50 to 200 percent of the normal earnings based on the percent of sales increase from the same period in 2004. Other key benefits for dealers include marketing support tools that provide the opportunity to maximize co-op funds, such as pre-approved newspaper, radio and television ads, a consumer direct mail campaign, and traffic-building in-store, point-of-purchase materials. Consumers purchasing carpet made with Anso nylon during the sales period receive cash rebates of up to $50 at participating retail locations.
