24th Edition of Tile of Spain Awards Now Accepting Entries

Castellón, Spain, August 7, 2025-The 24th edition of the Tile of Spain Awards of Architecture, Interior design and MTP is now open, reaffirming ASCER's commitment to promoting the use of Spanish ceramic tiles in architectural and interior design projects.

One of the main innovations this year is the introduction of new subcategories within the Architecture and Interior design categories, based on the type of ceramic material used. This change aims to recognize a greater diversity of approaches and applications in the use of ceramic materials.

The Tile of Spain Awards, organized by ASCER are open to both national and international professionals, provided their projects feature ceramic floor or wall tiles manufactured by companies members of ASCER.

The jury will be chaired by the architect Julio Touza Rodríguez and includes several leading figures from the fields of architecture and design. Confirmed jury members include interior designer Carmen Baselga; Antonio Jesús Luna, editor of ROOM Diseño magazine; and Susana Babiloni, President of the Castellón Architects’ Association.

The deadline for submitting projects is October 20. The jury will meet in Castellón at the end of November to deliberate and select the winning entries.

Novelties in this edition:

The professional categories of Architecture and Interior design will now be divided into two subcategories, depending on the type of ceramic material used in the projects.

– Subcategory A-a / I-a: projects using dry-pressed porcelain tiles

– Subcategory A-b / I-b: projects using other ceramic types such as extruded stoneware, wall tiles, mosaics, terracotta, etc.

This update doubles the number of professional awards, increasing from two to four, and enhances the recognition of the wide range of ceramic applications in contemporary design.

A prize of €8,000 will be awarded to the winners of each of the four professional subcategories (A-a, A-b, I-a, I-b). Additionally, a prize of €3,000 will be awarded to the best MTP, in the category aimed at architecture students.
