15 New Solutions Join CRI Seal of Approval Ranks

Dalton, GA, January 19, 2007--Nine pre-sprays, five spot removers and an in-tank solution are the latest products to join the CRI Seal of Approval family as word continues to spread that some carpet manufacturers have made a decision to tie carpet warranties to the use of CRI SOA-approved products. Heavy Duty Prespray Plus, G-Force Fountainhead Dual Task, RX82 Soil Resistant, JetClean Anti-Resoil, TrueClean No-Resoil, NSR Multi-Use Carpet Cleaner, Versacap II Encapsulation, and Just For Carpets Anti- Resoil are the nine presprays to earn SOA recognition. They are joined by spot removers Grab Carpet Spotter, Grab Dry, Liquid Grab, R2x Area Rug Spot Cleaner and Spot Gone along with in-tank solution Fiber-One Carpet & Rug Concentrate as products that have tested among the best cleaning solutions on the market. Each product passed a series of stringent tests performed by an independent laboratory in order to make the list of cleaning solutions. The tests for spot removers, pre-sprays and in-tank solutions include protocols for efficacy (removing stains), resoiling (whether the product attracts soil at an accelerated rate), pH (excessively acid or alkaline products can affect dyes and fibers), optical brighteners (can adversely affect color, appearance and performance) and colorfastness to light (residues on pile yarn can accelerate color change). To date there are now 94 cleaning solutions which have earned SOA designation.
