Miano, Italy, April 18--Prominent rug designer Karim Rashid has presented his collection developed for Step Carpet to the world market in Milano.
Speaking at a meeting conducted within the context of the "Milan Furniture Fair", Rashid revealed that 100 carpet designs were created as part of an agreement with Step Carpet and a collection has already been developed.
He said, "My designs tell of a time," Rashid added that when looked at the history of the rug, it tells about a time and culture, while his own designs also tell about the present time and its values.
Confirming that the price of Step Carpet is very economical, Rashid said, "I have made a special agreement with Step Carpet and they will sell these carpets in all around the world."
Step Carpet CEO and Manager Cem Sengor revealed that they will sell the designs signed by Karim Rashid to Turkey and world markets in addition to their own designs.
Moreover, he expressed that they aim to make a Turkish brand a world brand by bringing together Rashid and Step Carpet, Sengor noted that their new collection aims to be reach the Far East including Japan and China in addition to European markets that includes Belgium, France and the UK.
