Pakistan Predicts Higher Carpet Sales

Slamabad, Pakistan, January 16--Pakistan expects to secure some $3.39 million in orders in 2005-2006, according to the chairman of the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMEA). Abdul Ghafoor Sajid, the PCMEA chairman, said he is confident that this goal will be met, citing higher quality and the consequent increase in overall demand as reasons for his optimism. He expects a sizeable number of orders to be garnered at this month's international carpet exhibiition in Mannhein, Germany.
