Green Bay, WI, November 5--Green Bay Packers fans have long admired the grand symbol of their team, the Packers 'G,' and now have an opportunity to turn their own floors into 'home turf,' adorning them with the universally-recognized logo.
The Packers Pro Shop, along with Green Bay's H.J. Martin and Son, Inc., unveiled this week a line of exclusive Packers carpet. Two styles are offered: Packers Team Carpet, featuring a green and gold 'G' logo design, and Packers Premium Carpet, featuring a beige 'G' logo design. Both styles are available to be ordered in custom sizes. Additionally, the Packers Team Carpet is available in area rug sizes, including 3'x4', 4'x 6', 6'x9' and 11'x13' offerings.
"Through the years, we've received numerous, numerous requests for Packers carpeting," said Kate Hogan, the Packers' director of retail operations. "We're very happy to be able to offer these unique selections. We are excited to be working with a great local company like H.J. Martin, too. They've developed a top-notch product and have a great reputation for distribution and installation."
An item of interest for years, the beige 'G' style was featured throughout the Packers' former facility, including the offices, locker room and private boxes. It became a popular item at Pro Shop tent sales the past several years, as new and used sections of carpet immediately sold out upon the beginning of the sale. The immense interest in the carpet eventually led to its development as a consumer product.
