Karastan Promotes Storey

Dalton, GA, July 9, 2007--Karastan announces the promotion of Bill Storey to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of Fashion Brands (Karastan, Ralph Lauren, CustomWeave and Helios), effective immediately.

Formerly Senior Vice President of Karastan Rugs, Storey is a 20-year veteran of Karastan with a proven track record of sales and business accomplishments. “Bill has had an impressive career with Karastan,” says Tom Lape, President of Mohawk Residential. “When he joined the company in 1987, he proved himself as a successful Territory Manager, advancing up the ladder to head our efforts in Karastan’s Area Rug and Woven Broadloom segments. Under his leadership, Karastan has made substantial product and sales achievement progress.”

In his new role, Storey is charged with developing new growth opportunities for the Karastan and Ralph Lauren brands as he manages overall business responsibilities for the broadloom, woven and rug Fashion segments of Mohawk.  Storey reports directly to Tom Lape and will be headquartered in Mohawk’s Dalton, Georgia facility.
