Festool Launches Mobile Dust Extractor

Lebanon, IN, May 3, 2007--Festool USA, Tooltechnic Systems said the new CT Mobile Dust Extractor, the CT MIDI, which was specifically designed with the installer in mind, is now available. The CT MIDI is ideal for anyone who requires the suction capacity of a much larger dust extractor but who also has the need for a lightweight and compact unit.

The CT MIDI is perfect for both the jobsite and workshop and will be available May 1 at all FESTOOL dealers.

Weighing in at just over 21 lbs., the CT MIDI has a container capacity of almost four gallons. In addition to standard Festool mobile dust extractor features such as tooltriggered activation, anti-static design, and a 72 dB (A) noise level, the new CT MIDI also features the convenience of on-board hose and cord storage. Michael Williams, Director of Product Management and Training, FESTOOL USA, states that “We’re really pleased to introduce the CT MIDI; it offers the optimal mix of portability, capacity and power, and it fills a real need in the marketplace.” Williams continues, “Like all FESTOOL power tools and dust extractors, the CT MIDI was designed with the professional in mind. Because we are constantly speaking with, and get feedback from, our customers and other professional tool users, we discovered that professional installers’ needs related to transport, suction power and storage weren’t being met. The CT MIDI is the result as well as the solution.”

Festool power tools have won numerous awards and #1 rankings from publications such as Fine Homebuilding, Fine Woodworking, Hardwood Floors, Popular Woodworking, Surface Fabrication & Design Magazine, Tools of the Trade and Woodworker’s Journal.

Festool is also regularly featured and used on numerous broadcast and cable networks and shows.
