European Wood Sales Stable in 2011
Brussels, Belgium, Jan. 26, 2012 -- The European Federation of the Parquet Industry said wood floor consumption in 2011 in Europe was stable compared to 2010.
The federation said its preliminary figures show that about 95 million square meters were sold as growth picked up in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Sweden.
“Under the circumstances, the overall performance of our industry is certainly commendable. Parquet is very much alive and one can only hope that the promising results attained by certain countries will gradually spread to other regions as well thereby contributing to the much desired uniformity in the FEP territory”, commented FEP President Lars Gunnar Andersen.
