CFI Woven & Patterned Carpet Installaton Skills Wo

Kansas City, MO, October 31, 2005--The CFI Woven and Patterned Carpet Skills Workshop is fast approaching in Kansas City, MO on November 10-11, 2005. The 150+ page CFI Woven Carpet Resource Manual has been completed and will be distributed to all attendees. This is the second in a series of installation manuals prepared by a team of CFI Installers. The information in the resource manual and the hands-on training is necessary for for commercial and residential installers who are searching for installation techniques and solutions to problems that surface in the field. The CFI Team of Trainers, Jim Walker, Ed Braile, Bob Gillespie, Jon Namba, Robert Varden and technical specialists representing the carpet manufacturers, Mack Sheriff and Bruce Gentry of Mohawk and Kenneth Miles of Clay Miller Hospitality Design will provide demonstrations and training. The event will focus on the participants working in small groups enhancing and developing the skills and techniques required of this type of installation. Participants receive a list of tools to bring. The event is scheduled in Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday, November 10th commencing at 8:00 in the morning and concluding at 5:00 in the afternoon. The Friday session begins at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m. The Kansas City Expo Center located near the Airport is the location for this event. With an abundance of training space, it is an ideal location for hands-on, skills training for large and involved applications. Many flights depart on November 11th after 5:30 in the evening. Shuttle service is arranged for the 10-minute trip to the airport. Manufacturers will receive the names of those who successfully complete the workshop. The CFI Woven and Pattern-Matching Workshop is a “working” event to introduce new techniques and tools for the installation and of woven and patterned carpets and provide solutions to problems that surface in the field. Due to the amount of space required for the event and the individual training commitment, the number of participants is limited. Installers will be working with large sections of carpet in 16 x 30 modules, constructing seams, powerstretching, pattern matching and learning techniques that enhance the value of their skills. The cost of the installation training event is $620.00. This includes the 60-page hardbound CFI Patterned Resource Guide, video and lunches.
