Cersaie Launching Press Cafés to Promote Awareness of Trends

Sassuolo, IT, July 5, 2016—Cersaie is launching a new initiative consisting of three Press Cafés, each to be held in a different hall at Cersaie and organized by a different magazine: AD Café, Domus Café and Interni Café.

This experiment, a first in Italy for an international trade fair event, aims to promote knowledge and awareness of design culture and trends amongst attendees.

The Press Cafés will complement the conferences with prominent architects held in the Architecture Gallery, the tile installation showcase hosted in Tiling Town, and the event Cersaie Designs Your Home held in the Media Village.

The real novelty of the Press Cafés is their innovative format. Rather than seminars, conferences or shows, they will be places where visitors can participate in informal conversations with the magazine editors and leading figures from the world of architecture and contemporary design. While these conversations will continue to focus on ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings, they will be different from other events at Cersaie in terms of approach, the people involved and organization. They mark a return to the Italian café tradition as places where people can sit and discuss topics of interest and current affairs with friends and other customers.

The Press Cafés will be located in three different halls, one in the bathroom furnishing area and the other two in the ceramic tile area. The spaces will be designed by the organizing magazines, in some cases by the editor in person, and they will feature refreshment points with tables and chairs where attendees will be able to sit and take part in the conversations. The AD Café will be located in the mezzanine of Hall 16/18, Domus Café in the mezzanine of Hall 19/20 and Interni Café in Hall 21.

The Press Café events will be announced in early September and are part of the official program of Cersaie, so they will be publicized on the website www.cersaie.it, on the various advertising pages in the national and local press, and on the posters present in the exhibition center.
