CarpetsPlus-ColorTile Partners With Arbor Day

Nebraska City, NE, February 28, 2007--The National Arbor Day Foundation has launched a new campaign in partnership with Alliance Flooring Inc., parent company of CarpetsPlus-Color Tile, to plant trees and preserve rain forest land.

For each purchase of CarpetsPlus-Color Tile's exclusive and environmentally friendly EcoChoice branded flooring products, Alliance Flooring will make a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation to support two of its programs. Contributions will help replant America's national forests and preserve rain forest land in Latin America through the Foundation's Rain Forest Rescue program.

"Our partnership with The National Arbor Day Foundation is a natural fit," said Jon Logue, Co-CEO and president of Alliance Flooring. "While we can assure consumers our EcoChoice Hardwoods come from managed and sustainable forest, we must go the extra mile to ensure we are doing our part in protecting trees worldwide from illegal harvesting and the devastating effect of forest fires."

"America's national forests and the world's rain forests all need help, and we are pleased that our friends at Alliance Flooring are helping the environment in two ways--both here in the U.S. and globally," said John Rosenow, president of The National Arbor Day Foundation.

Last year was the worst forest fire season on record, burning more than 9.6 million acres of land and creating a need for planting millions of trees. In addition, nearly 100,000 acres of precious rain forests are destroyed every day--destruction that the Foundation's Rain Forest Rescue program strives to reduce with education for small family farms. "This generous contribution from Alliance Flooring on behalf of the CarpetsPlus-Color Tile stores nationwide will help restore wildlife habitat, protect soil and waterways, and preserve the Earth's vital forests for this and future generations," said Rosenow.
