Alliance Fighting Wood Tariffs Lists Members

Seattle, WA, Feb. 15, 2011 -- The Alliance for Free Choice and Jobs in Flooring, formed to fight proposed tariffs on engineered hardwood flooring from China, has updated its website and, among other things, lists the members of the organization.

The case is now moving forward at the ITC and the U.S. Commerce Department, after a petition was filed by some American flooring manufacturers claiming Chinese manufacturers are dumping hardwood flooring in the U.S.

"Our goal is to stop this case cold," the website says.

The members include Real Wood Floors, Swiff Train, Custom Wholesale Floors, BR Custom Surface, Metropolitan Hardwood Floors, CFS, Midwest Hardwood, The Master Craft, GTP International, Alston, Arimar International, Wood Cellar, Verona Hardwoods, Suncrest, Global Product Sourcing.

Board members include President Jonathan Train (Swiff-Train Company), Treasurer Jeff Bartlam (BR Custom Surface), Secretary Elizabeth Baldwin (Metropolitan Hardwood Floors), Directors Joe Dupree (Custom Wholesale Floors Inc.), Dave Reichwein (GTP International), Rick Barrett (Midwest Hardwoods), and Samuel Cobb (Real Wood Floors).
