Washington, DC, April 26, 2023—Mortgage applications increased 3.7% from one week earlier, according to data from the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending April 21, 2023.
Durable Goods Orders Rose 3.2% in March
Washington, DC, April 26, 2023—New orders for manufactured durable goods in March, up following two consecutive monthly decreases, increased $8.6 billion or 3.2% to $276.4 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced.
New Home Sales Rose 9.6% in March
Washington, DC, April 25, 2023—Sales of new single-family houses in March 2023 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 683,000, according to estimates released jointly by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, 9.6% above the revised February rate of 623,000 but 3.4% below the March 2022 estimate of 707,000.
Home Prices Rose 2.0% in February, Says Case-Shiller
