Washington, DC, September 28, 2017—The international trade deficit was $62.9 billion in August, down $0.9 billion from $63.9 billion in July, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Construction Employment Rose in 274 Metro Areas YOY in Aug.
Arlington, VA, September 28, 2017—Construction employment increased in 274 out of 358 metro areas between August 2016 and August 2017, declined in 52 and stagnated in 32, according to a new analysis of federal employment data released by the Associated General Contractors of America.

Washington, DC, September 27, 2017—The Pending Home Sales Index retreated 2.6% to 106.3 in August from 109.1 in July. The index is now at its lowest reading since January 2016 (106.1), is 2.6% below a year ago, and has fallen on an annual basis in four of the past five months.
