St. Louis, Mo, November 9--Bankrupt chemical maker Solutia Inc. said in a regulatory filing Friday that price increases, higher sales volumes and favorable currency-exchange rates drove up third-quarter net sales by 14 percent.

Linwood, PA, November 5--Foamex in the third quarter reported a net loss of $114.5 million, or $4.68 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $11.0 million, or $0.45 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2003.

Federated's October Same-Store Sales up 4%
