Shaw Carpet and Hardwood Used in Show Homes at IBS

Dalton, GA, January 9, 2006--Shaw’s specialty markets division, in conjunction with Palm Harbor Homes, Inc., will be displaying carpet and engineered hardwood products in four model homes adjacent to the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Orlando, Florida. Sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the IBS will take place January 10 through January 15 , 2006. There were over 100,000 attendees last January. All four of the model homes will be modular construction, one being a 6,000-square-foot luxury home built by Nationwide Homes, a division of Palm Harbor Homes. The remaining three include the latest in design, materials, and products, ranging in size from 1685 to 3000 square feet that are being built by Palm Harbor’s Plant City, Florida and Albemarle, North Carolina plants. One of the model homes will be displayed at the NexGen06 site, while the remaining three homes will be part of Show Village '06. All of the new model homes will provide visitors with a hands-on introduction to the latest innovations in home safety, home air quality, energy efficiency, and computer technology. Shaw carpet styles being featured in the homes include Royal Pavilion, Anything Goes! Remarkable, Elegant Accenture, Sophisticated, Inner Beauty, and Masala II. The Nationwide Homes 6,000-square-food model home will also feature Shaw's American Walnut engineered hardwood. “We’re proud to have the leading-edge products that complement these innovative homes, and to have them displayed in such a prominent venue,” says Tom Johnson, Shaw specialty markets director of marketing. Johnson notes that traffic is expected to be heavy for the model show homes, and Shaw product literature will be available to visitors.
