Augustdorf, Germany, May 24--Effective immediately, the North American laminate business for Witex will be serviced directly by Witex Flooring Inc. of Germany. A year ago, Witex Holding sold their shares of its subsidiary, Witex USA Inc., to a group of investors from the US.
The relationship with Witex USA after the sale to the investors group has not been satisfactory and as a result Witex Holding has terminated the Agreement with Witex USA, effective immediately, according to Witex Holding.
This decision will result in an immediate improvement in service with the increased availability of laminate products for all North American customers. The management of Witex AG has put into motion a plan to continue to service and supply the North American market for the long term with the highest quality of laminate flooring made in Germany.
Witex Holding has been supplying laminate flooring for over 12 years in the US and has recently invested significantly in the area of new product development. Patents for these various new products have been applied for in order for Witex to continue its position as a leader in innovative and quality flooring products.
