Spokane Flooring Firm Closes, Citing Economy

Spokane, WA, June 18, 2010--A longtime Spokane flooring supply company has closed and filed for Chapter 7 liquidation in U.S. Bankruptcy Court here, citing debts of $2.1 million.

Floor Supply Distributing Inc., has been in operation here for about 45 years, according to reports. A spokesman said the poor economy caused the company's demise. The company suffered from a drop-off in construction and also had problems collecting receivables.
