Shaw Reports Water Use Reductions on World Water Day

Dalton, GA, March 22, 2018-In celebration of World Water Day, March 22, Shaw Industries reports that, in 2016, it used 36% less water than in 2010. The company has taken significant measures to minimize its use in operations and manufacturing processes and will push for further improvements, driving toward a 50% reduction from 2010 to 2030.

The company’s water efforts align with its commitment to Cradle to Cradle design. Eighty-five percent of the products Shaw manufactures are Cradle to Cradle Certified; the company is striving for 100% by 2030.

More than two billion people lack access to safely managed drinking water services, and water scarcity already affects four out of every ten people around the world.
