Shaw to Open Kansas Distribution Center

Lenexa, KS, Feb. 2--Shaw Industries Inc. will open a carpet distribution center on Monday in Lenexa, the center's operation manager said, according to the Business Journal of Kansas City. Kay Franklin said the operation will employ 20 people. They'll distribute products throughout the region. The location is Shaw's first in metropolitan Kansas City. Shaw will occupy 38,000 square feet at Renner Business Center. The company was represented in lease negotiations by Pat McGannon of Kessinger/Hunter & Co. Dan Jensen, another Kessinger/Hunter broker, represented the building owner. Lease terms weren't disclosed.
