Private Sector Employment Rose by 132,000 in August

Roseland, NJ, August 31, 2022-Private sector employment increased by 132,000 jobs in August, and annual pay was up 7.6%, according to the August ADP National Employment Report produced by the ADP Research Institute in collaboration with the Stanford Digital Economy Lab.

The goods-producing sector added 23,000 jobs, while the service providing sector added 111,000.

Small businesses added 25,000 jobs; medium businesses added 53,000 jobs; and large businesses added 54,000 jobs.

The Northeast added 23,000 jobs, while the Midwest lost 7,000, the South added 76,000, and the West added 40,000.
