NAFCD Announces New Board Members

Chicago, IL, October 31, 2007–The National Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) announced its 2008 Board of Directors during the Annual Membership Meeting last week.

NAFCD also named David Powell a Future Leader of the Industry. He is the marketing director – IT director of Erickson’s Flooring & Supply Company in Ferndale, Michigan.

Executive Officers for 2008 who will serve a term of one year include:  president Al Maghes, (Erickson’s Flooring and Supply Co.); vice president Jack Lindenschmidt, (Interstate Supply Co., St. Louis); secretary, (Terry Moorhead, Bennett Supply Co., Cheswick, Pennsylvania): and treasurer Fred Reitz, (J.J. Haines and Company Inc., Glen Burnie, Maryland).

New directors who will serve a three-year term include: Joseph Reddington, (Building Plastics Inc., Dallas); Roy Foster, (Quick Step, Dallas); Darren Abraham, (Abraham Linc Corporation, Bridgeport, West Virginia); and Scott Rozmus, (Flor Star Sales, Inc., Romeoville, Illinois).

Additional directors who will continue to serve include: Tom Giancani, (TORLYS Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada) ;Steve Kerr, (Shaw Industries, Dalton, Georgia); Art Layton, (CMH Flooring Products, Wadesboro, North Carolina); Steve Rosenthal, (All Tile Inc., Elk Grove Village, Illinois); Robert Wagner, (L Fishman and Son Inc., Baltimore, Maryland); David Williams, (Horizon Forest Products, Raleigh, North Carolina); Jim Sturla, (Medallion dba Sturla Inc. San Leandro, California); and Michael Halebian Jr. (Michael Halebian Co. Inc., Carlstadt, New Jersey)
