IAC Group Acquires Automotive Flooring Firm

Detroit, MI, Feb. 3, 2010--International Automotive Components Group North America said it has acquired South Carolina-based automotive flooring and acoustics supplier Stankiewicz International Corp., according to Crain's Detroit Business.

Stankiewicz manufactures flooring systems, dash insulators and trunk systems at a complex in Spartanburg, S.C. The site consists of three manufacturing facilities totaling 190,000 square feet of space and is staffed by 150 employees.

Dave Ladd, IAC’s executive director for marketing and communications, told the newspaper that the deal strengthens IAC’s existing capabilities in flooring and acoustics, a market where it already is the dominant player.
