Home Depot Recognizes Suppliers

Atlanta, GA, Sept. 26--The Home Depot has recognized more than 14 companies for their outstanding performance and product innovation at its Annual Supplier Partnership Meetings. John Deere received the top product innovation honor for its 100-Series Riding Lawn Tractors. Innovation awards for first and second runners-up were given to Masterbrands for Modular Kitchen Displays and King of Fans for the Hampton Bay Antigua Fan, respectively. "Our innovation award honors John Deere this year for their forward thinking, responsiveness and product development that best serves our customers," said John Costello, executive vice president of merchandising and marketing. "We also are proud to recognize other key suppliers who have been leaders in their categories by providing our customers with a product solution that best fits their needs." To win the innovation award, John Deere worked directly with The Home Depot to develop a new line of tractors that fits the needs of customers while maintaining a price point that is in line with their spending habits. The L-110 model was named a best buy in a leading consumer publication and the overall line achieved record sales performance. "This award is a positive reflection on the partnership between The Home Depot, John Deere and our outstanding dealer network that has made innovation in sales and service a reality. We are honored to be the recipient," said John Jenkins, president, John Deere Worldwide Commercial and Consumer Equipment division. Supplier of the Year Awards honored 13 companies across major categories that exceeded expectations in sales, service and execution of their programs.
