DuPont Sorona Gets Third Party Certification

Wilmington, DE, Sept. 6, 2011 — DuPont Industrial Biosciences said that its DuPont Sorona polymer has received Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 Certification from Oeko-Tex and the Hohenstein Textile Testing Institute.

Sorona is used in carpet and other fiber applications. Oeko-Tex Class 1 certification is the most stringent safety test and includes textiles and carpets intended for use by infants and toddlers.

Sorona is made, in part, with annually renewable plant-based resources.

International OEKO-TEX Association, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, was founded by the Austrian Textile Research Institute and the German Hohenstein Research Institutes.
