Distributor Sales & Manufacturer Shipments Rose 1.3% in June

Washington, DC, August 17, 2022-The combined value of distributive trade sales and manufacturers’ shipments for June was estimated at $1,858.1 billion, up 1.3% from May 2022 and was up 14.5% from June 2021, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Manufacturers’ and trade inventories for June were estimated at an end-of-month level of $2,419.5 billion, up 1.4% from May 2022 and were up 18.5% from June 2021.

The total business inventories/sales ratio based on seasonally adjusted data at the end of June was 1.30. The June 2021 ratio was 1.26.
