Ludwigshafen, DE, February 24, 2023-BASF has announced that it will close its Ludwigshafen, Germany caprolactam plant.
Caprolactam is a core ingredient in nylon 6.
Says the company, “The capacity of BASF’s caprolactam plant in Antwerp, Belgium is sufficient to serve captive and merchant market demand in Europe going forward.”
