New Products-Season One: A guide to the latest products, programs and tech in the residential flooring market - March 2021

The ongoing pandemic continues to delay or restructure the flooring industry’s much-anticipated annual trade shows. With no first-quarter in-person trade shows in the flooring business this year, we asked the industry what they are excited about as 2021 gets into swing.
Here’s a preview of the latest news, products and collections:
New introductions for AHF Products under the Bruce brand are LifeSeal Reserve rigid core flooring in hardwood, stone and marble visuals with wide width planks. Also new is Hartco HydroBlock hardwood flooring featuring Cleantivity antimicrobial technology, which inhibits bacteria growth on the floor surface. HydroBlock is composite engineered wood flooring in white oak and hickory, which is infused with technology that provides top-down moisture protection for up to 36 hours to help protect against everyday spills, wet mopping and pet accidents. New from Robbins is Woodland Hills hardwood flooring with a rustic maple character. The 6-1/2” wide-width boards feature a scratch and stain resistant coating and are made in the USA.
American Biltrite has introduced UltraCeramic Contract, an engineered stone that features a 20-mil wearlayer, a polyurethane surface treatment that makes it easy to clean and disinfect, and a patent-pending rounded edge. Installed with a fast-curing grout, it is 100% waterproof and provides a fast occupancy-ready installation. Twelve collections, in four to six colorways, include slate designs, concretes, travertine stones, Carrara marble and others in either 18”x18” or 12”x24” formats.
American OEM’s new Enchantment is an eight-SKU collection of 6” wide white oak engineered hardwoods in light to deep midtone shades with a smooth-brushed texture. The collection is protected on all six sides with WetWorx Splash and Spill Guard water-resistant finish.
Armstrong Flooring has new products for both residential and commercial applications. On the residential side, the company is launching its new Engineered Tile, what it calls an alternative to natural stone and ceramic tile. The line features four new designs and is available in three tile sizes with an optional grouted installation. For the commercial market, Armstrong is introducing two new products: Theorem Luxury and Exchange Luxury. Theorem includes three designs-Alchemy, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2-representing geometric symbols. Available in a 6”x 36” plank, the collection ranges from bright colors to rich ones and dark shades. Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 are a play on scale, featuring a unique pattern. Exchange includes two distinct designs, System Gradient and Static, both available in 6“x36” planks. The lines are made with Diamond 10 Technology, which provides scratch, stain and scuff resistance.
Cali Bamboo’s Builder’s Choice XL is designed for large-scale projects and stocking options and offers professional-grade durability in longer, broader luxury vinyl planks at 60”x9”. A 100% waterproof construction, rapid click-lock milling and limestone composite core make flooring easy to install without the need for glue, nails or acclimation. An ultra-thick 20 mil wearlayer delivers scratch protection while built-in acoustic padding provides boosted sound insulation. Cali Vinyl Legends’ luxury vinyl plank line, at 60”x9” and 1/2” thick, features WPC boards that are thicker and lighter than average LVT, making them especially sturdy, commercial-friendly and easy to install. Extra detailed textures and rich wood tones give rooms a more natural feel.
Cali is expanding Cali Vinyl Longboards with design-friendly colors to this coastal-inspired collection, which offers extra-large 70-7/8”x9” waterproof planks that install faster. Ultra-authentic hardwood visuals and built-in acoustic insulation complete the luxury experience. Cali is recreating some of its most popular vinyl flooring colors with its new Mute Step design. Waterproof planks include a built-in underlayment pad that helps to muffle sound and boost thermal insulation for quieter, more comfortable rooms. Cali’s Meritage engineered hardwood collection is getting new styles this year to round out a palette of European white oaks.
Crossville’s new Multiplier is a mosaic collection offered in three colors and three shapes-square, penny round and hexagon-for floor and wall. It is mesh-mounted for easy installation.
Daltile is offering several new lines this year. The Perpetuo porcelain tile collection features five colors. Included in the collection are 8” hexagon decorative accents. The Enlite porcelain collection offers natural stone visuals in five colors in a 15”x30” floor tile and a random linear mosaic. The Aesthetic collection features patterns ranging from organic natural visuals to structured geometric textures in a large format 12”x36” wall tile. The Median porcelain tile collection, for use on floors, walls and countertops, is available in six neutral colors in polished, matte and textured surfaces. And lastly, Pietra Divina, a natural stone collection, features three marbles with a color palette that includes white with grey veining, white with warm gold movement, and a black with white accents. It is offered in 4”x12” and 12”x24” tile sizes, a full selection of mosaics and a 6”x12” bamboo structure mosaic.
The Dixie Group is unveiling new offerings for 2021 in both soft and hard surfaces. To differentiate itself in carpet, the firm has invested heavily in Card Monroe’s latest tufting technology which Dixie calls Technique tufting. A few of these new styles include TwoStep, TapDance and SoftRock, which are under the Masland brand. Also new for Masland is Buena Vida and Cayman & Caico. Fabrica is releasing Hollywood Nights, inspired by the glossy images of Hollywood and rolling earthy landscapes, and a new Technique product, WaterColor, which features 32 tonal colors.
New for Dixie Home are Fine Art, Nature’s Glen and Colter Bay. Fine Art boasts a diamond/trellis design and comes in 24 colors; Nature’s Glen is an EnVision66 product that features neutrals inspired by nature and moody blues; and Colter Bay is inspired by the Grand Tetons and comes in 15 colors.
Dixie also continues to expand its hard surface introductions including a few domestically produced LVT styles. Also new for 2021 is Trucor 3DP, an addition to the existing Trucor line launched in 2019. Trucor 3DP offers a direct digital print onto an SPC core, providing two times the resolution of current PVC film vinyl products. This technology utilizes synchronized digital print textures that mimic cathedrals, graining, knots and mineral streaks found in wood and stone. The new collection consists of eight planks and eight tiles and has a proprietary TruBevel click profile that produces a realistic rectified grout visual that is digitally printed onto the SPC core, enhancing the realistic stone visual.
SwiffTrain’s EarthWerks brand is launching Footprints Plus XL SPC, a 9”x60” SPC plank. It has a 6mm overall thickness with an ABA-constructed solid polymer core. Footprints offers a four-SKU assortment, each boasting Tuff Shield coating. EarthWerks’ Chassis collection offers gluedown flex LVT patterns with 6 mil, 12 mil and 20 mil wearlayer options, as well as the newly introduced 20 mil SPC waterproof plank. Chassis is available in two colorways of 18”x18” tile and now eight options within the 7”x48” plank assortment, each stocked in entry-level 2mm thick product with a 6 mil wearlayer, 2mm thick product with a 12 mil wearlayer, all the way up to 3mm thick product with a 20 mil wearlayer. The newly introduced Chassis Pro SPC Plus adds a 5mm thick product with a 20 mil specification to the assortment. The same 7”x48” plank colorways available in the company’s gluedown assortment are now offered in this cushion-backed, waterproof SPC and boast antibacterial coating, featuring Tuff Shield Max for superior performance and wear protection.
Emser Tile has incorporated natural and biophilic design trends into the brand’s newest product offerings: Brique, Network, Hues, Mizu and Passion.
Engineered Floors has new residential releases in both hard and soft surface. Vanguard is a new 5mm LVT plank collection that can transition seamlessly to 5mm carpet tiles, providing multiple installation options. The line, which comes in ten colors, boasts sound insulation and a fiberglass core that provides stability. Mojave is the newest addition to the DreamWeaver Select line. Inspired by the natural landscape, this carpet collection brings textural nuances, reminiscent of natural materials, into the home.
Floor Folio is highlighting three new LVT lines in varying visuals. The Chevron Collection is the modern take on the popular chevron layout. The wood-look design uses two 7-1/4”x48” planks to form the “V” shape when the planks are installed next to each other. It’s available in five colorways. The Coastline collection combines looks of whitewashed wood and aged stone. Each plank is 7-1/4”x48” with a smooth texture. It is offered in three colors with a multitone palette of visuals. The Sahara collection is a fusion of polished visuals of stone, rock and minerals.?The colors and composition give each 18”x36” tile a realistic appearance. It comes in five colorations.
Florim’s latest tile collection is Urban Living, which contains three finishes, including matte, raw or chiseled and comes in an array of shades for indoor/outdoor use and floor or wall installation. Urban Living comes in four sizes ranging from 3”x12” to 24”x48”. It is composed of 30% recycled content and is made from locally sourced, natural materials.
Forbo has added three new residential patterns to its 10”x40” Flotex Modular plank collection, offering the look of marble, linen and reclaimed wood in a flocked textile floorcovering that is highly stain- and soil-resistant and is 100% waterproof.
Happy Feet has released Independence and Freedom, two new domestically produced LVP products, which come in a selection of colorways that balance classic and modern trends. Its XPO pad offers a quiet step and comfort underfoot.
Happy Floors is releasing a new stone-look tile collection, Fossil, a blend of petrified wood and concrete. Fossil is available in four colors: white, pearl, grey, and blue; sizes 12”x24” and 24”x48”; and is completed with both square and hexagon mosaics. It is suitable for all interior spaces, residential and commercial projects (apart from blue, which is suitable for residential projects only).
I4F recently launched the world’s first water-resistant, one-piece drop-lock flooring installation system, impermeable-Click4U (iClick4U). Focused on the installation of laminate and engineered wood flooring, the new system complements the company’s Click4U technology and exceeds the North American Laminate Flooring Association’s requirements relating to water-resistant flooring, including the requirement that panels withstand water for a minimum of 24 hours. The technology eliminates the need for chemical sprays or additional sealing substances, like wax or paraffin, normally required to prevent water leaking into flooring panel joints.
Inhaus has introduced Sono Eclipse, a new rendition of its PVC-free rigid core collection 2Sono. Featuring a construction made entirely out of polypropylene and mineral powder, Sono Eclipse, manufactured in Germany, is made via a proprietary production process, focusing on creating a safe product with ultra-low VOCs by excluding the use of any additives including phthalates and plasticizers. The collection is made up of 26 styles (20 wood and six stone). Each design features a combination of high-definition, digitally printed visuals with embossed-in-register textures. Digital printing offers a color range that is virtually limitless, allowing the ability to create ultra-realistic visuals and designs that offer a total of 18 unique planks.
Sono Eclipse’s textures are created through a process known as Digital Lacquer Embossing. This added three-dimensional element enables Sono Eclipse to easily emulate natural wood and stone floors. Sono Eclipse has a rating of AC5 and its added polypropylene wear film enhances its durability attributes. New to the line is a permanently bonded pre-attached underlay that may be glued down.
Kaleen Rugs and Broadloom has launched Hook & Beam with 31 new wool collections. Among the line-up are Bravo, Union Square, Windsong Natural, Kaleidoscope Jewel, Windsong Jewel, Grand Tradition and Lucky Star. Bravo is a mottled pattern design using New Zealand wool and comes in five colors. Union Square, a New Zealand wool collection, features a lattice/trellis line art pattern and also comes in five colors. Windsong Natural is a traditional Wilton using imported, handspun, dyed wool, in four colors. Kaleidoscope Jewel is a basketweave design in a Wilton construction and made from dyed wool, also in four colors. Windsong Jewel is a Wilton weave construction in four colors. Grand Tradition, a chunky damask design featuring stylized floral motifs and acanthus leaves, is a traditional Wilton construction and comes in four colors. And Lucky Star is a traditional pattern using a Jacquard loom. It is made from handspun wool and comes in five colors. All are made in India and finished using Kaleen’s cotton canvas backing.
Laticrete has launched an updated version of its Strata Heat floor warming system, which includes a floor-heating spliceless wire and uncoupling mat. The upgraded system, which can be installed under tile, stone, vinyl, carpet or hardwood, offers a faster and more consistent energy-efficient installation with a system warranty. It centers around the spliceless wire, the mat (for its hydration vents and translucent finish) and the thermal pack. The spliceless wire features a single diameter throughout, meaning users no longer have to bury the cold lead into the subfloor, removing a step in the application process. As the only UL Certified floor heating system on the market, Strata Heat reduces floor heat-up and cycle time to reduce energy costs and is user-friendly thanks to the smart “Floor Focused” thermostat, which can be accessed through a smartphone app and smart home automation devices.
LG Hausys Floors is introducing two LVT collections, Grand Teton and Pike’s Peak. The collections mark LG’s official entry into the home-building market. Both feature high-resolution printing technology that creates realistic patterns and visuals of natural wood and stone, and they come in a gluedown format. Grand Teton features eight colors in a 6”x48” plank format and four colors in an 18”x18” tile format with a 12 mil wearlayer. Pike’s Peak offers 14 colors in a 7”x48” plank format and four colors in a 12”x24” tile format with a 20 mil wearlayer. Both collections are constructed with a 2.5mm thickness and come with LG Hausys Floors’ UV PUR double coating surface that helps prevent scratches, staining and deformation from water.
Grand Teton and Pike’s Peak come with a 25-year residential warranty.
Mannington Mills’ latest LVT additions are Swiss Oak and Arctic. Swiss Oak aims to capture the authentic look of raw, natural wood in a minimalist aesthetic. Featuring a 7”x48” plank format, Swiss Oak’s visual combines subtle edge spalting and a refined surface texture in a neutral color palette. Arctic is a marble look that combines layers of color with subtle veining all within a semi-translucent visual. It is offered in 12”x24” and 18”x18”.
Mannington’s latest hardwood release is Forest Park, an addition to the Latitude Collection. It is a 7-1/2” wide plank with a sliced hickory face and extra-long lengths up to 83”. Forest Park comes in four hand-stained colors with subtle wirebrushing that accentuate the warmth and color variation.
Mannington has also expanded its Restoration laminate collection with the addition of Haven, featuring 20 individual plank visuals in European white oak. The texture is minimal, allowing for the true natural character of the grain to be the visual focus. Haven fits seamlessly into the Scandi-Nordic interior?trends?as well as the Global?Boho?interiors. Haven features 8” wide planks and comes in five colors that enhance the undertones of natural white oak. The line features Mannington’s SpillShieldPlus waterproof warranty.
Marazzi’s new releases include Plaza, a concrete-look porcelain floor tile available in four colors-white, grey, beige and multicolor-in 30”x60”, 60”x60” or 120”x60” formats. The collection is completed by three color variations-white, grey and beige-for use on walls, supported by a versatile set of decors. The collection features Puro antibacterial technology and StepWise anti-slip finish. Manufactured with 40% recycled material, Plaza is intended to support fluid, cosmopolitan contemporary design schemes, indoors and outdoors, in residential and commercial locations.
Mercier Wood Flooring announces two new additions to the Atmosphere collection: Hickory and Hard Maple Hush. The lines are available on engineered and solid platforms and on widths ranging from 3-1/4” to 6-1/2” for hickory and up to 8-1/8” for hard maple. Hard Maple Hush is also offered in herringbone. Mercier’s Generations and Generations Intact 2500 finishes top off all floors from this collection.
Metroflor, part of the HMTX family, is introducing Metrostone, an SPC that replicates stone and porcelain tile with a simulated grouted installation, Grout Effect, instead of the usual beveled edge. The line comes in ten designs-five stone visuals, two marble tiles, two woodgrain planks and one textile-inspired linen look-for residential and commercial settings. All tile and stone designs measure 16”x32” or 12”x24” with Coral embossing; woodgrain planks are available in the extra-wide 9”x48” size with Barnside or Natural Timber embossing; and the textile design features Tick embossing. With a 5.2mm gauge, 20 mil wearlayer, and the Grout Effect edge treatment, all designs also feature Fx3 abrasion and stain resistance with a sound-abating underlayment.
Metroflor also has three new oak designs in its Engage Inception SPC portfolio-Malibu, Main Mast and Roadhouse-with plank sizes ranging from 7”x48” to 8-1/2”x60”. Malibu is a modern, West Coast-influenced design with fewer knots and cleaner graining. It pairs light-to-medium natural oak hues with a splash of dark colors, and its accent beveled plank edge enhances the authenticity and depth of the design. Main Mast is a new take on the classic oak plank look with its softened cathedrals and print contrast for a more elegant feel. Colors offer the current light-natural range while including rich red browns with underlying honey tones. Roadhouse features a clean, soft and quiet oak visual in a full, rich range of updated colors. Metroflor is also launching large-scale planks, Engage Inception 200XXL, in three oak designs-Copper Oak, Ranchero and Masthead-measuring 9”x72” with in-register embossing. It has a high-density polyethylene foam underlayment and utilizes a DropLock 100 locking system.
In the hardwood category, Mirage has several new additions to its lineup of products. Hickory Clay Marbles Character Brushed, a light and rich on-trend color with natural tones, has been added to the Sweet Memories Collection, which aims to replicate the charm of old floors and stands out for its staining and brushing process. Hickory Desert Rose joins the Flair collection and is distinguished by its natural characters. Character grades with the DuraMatt finish are now available with Maple Smooth and Red Oak Brushed.
Mohawk is introducing a large number of new products for 2021. Karastan Kashmere is launching Mohawk’s proprietary ColorMax technology, a process that creates precise color depth in each fiber for deeper color clarity and saturation. Mohawk is also introducing UltraWood, a new composite engineered wood that features Mohawk’s latest technological innovations: Everlast, WetProtect and EasyClean. Everlast hardwood protection system reinforces the hardwood veneer against scratches, wear and dents, maintaining the floor’s beauty and providing a lifetime wear warranty. Mohawk’s new patented WetProtect technology provides a waterproof installation and the only lifetime surface and subfloor waterproof warranty with an innovative protection for the top of the floor and from water leaking through and damaging the subfloor. Last but not least, EasyClean, Mohawk’s enhanced lacquer, resists stains and soil buildup within the grain of each UltraWood board and helps sustain the look of the floor.
Also in 2021, Karastan is embracing its evolution into a total luxury flooring brand with the addition of “Unearthed Beauty,” a new stone collection in Karastan LuxeCraft luxury vinyl flooring, offering new visuals with stone designs, including soft onyx, high-contrasting marble and textured Breccia stone, in a multilayer luxury vinyl flooring that resists water, scratches and dents. Karastan LuxeCraft is easily installed with Uniclic Multifit and comes with lifetime residential and ten-year commercial warranties.
MSI’s Everlife LVT collection offers 6”x48” and 7”x48” wood-look LVT in two lines: DryBack, a gluedown flex LVT, and Rigid Core, a 100% waterproof rigid LVT, featuring an easy-install locking system and pre-attached underlayment for quiet comfort underfoot. Both are covered with CrystaLux, a wearlayer that protects against scratches, spills, pet accidents, indentations and sun damage.
MSI also has several new introductions this year in floor and wall tile. The Renzo ceramic wall collection features six glossy colors from light to dark tones in a color palette of denim blue, greys, jade green and creamy white. There are three sizes to choose from-5”x5”, 3”x12” and 2-1/2”x13”-along with accessories of 3”x12” bullnose and quarter round. Durban Romance is a porcelain collection featuring cool, neutral tones in anthracite, grey and white. Available in 2”x2”, 12”x24” and 24”x48” with both matte and polished finishes, the tiles are appropriate for residential and commercial applications. The Luxor mosaic collection combines natural stone with metallic accents to create intricate patterns for use in floors, fireplace surrounds, kitchen backsplashes and more. The Encaustic Pattern offers a variety of patterned tiles and colors that can be used as floor tile, shower tile or backsplash tile. And the Waterjet collection now features mosaics in marble and glass in classic shapes like hexagons and arabesques, as well as floral motifs and retro-revived patterns.
Mullican is highlighting three hardwood collections this year, Madison Square, Revival and Parkmore. Madison Square draws its inspiration from the best neighborhoods of New York City and comes in four SKUs, all white oak variants, in random length planks up to 6’ with a wirebrushed finish.
Revival features wide width white oak planks, lightly wirebrushed and enhanced by a heat-treating technique to create a unique color palette. The process is called carbonization, which naturally retains the structural value of the wood while creating a rich, natural look. Three SKUs, all white oak variants, come in random length planks up to 6’. The Parkmore collection has a low-gloss finish aimed at inspiring a coastal feel. It is a rustic white oak with a wirebrushed patina that comes in random length planks up to 4’ and is available in four SKUs.
Nourison has launched the hand-knotted Odessa Collection with a total of seven Oushak designs and eight color styles, made of 100% New Zealand wool. The collection takes vintage Persian area rug designs and updates them for the modern age, in true transitional style. Each handmade rug features classic floral and geometric motifs that are finished with a space-dyed effect and fringe edges for an heirloom look with a refined edge. The designs include a soft palette of grey, ivory mocha, blue, brick and sage. Odessa will be displayed at the Nourison showrooms at Las Vegas Market in April and High Point Market in June.
Novalis’ NovaFloor will introduce its newest LVT collection, Dansbee, in April. The company says it was inspired by consumers’ need for an escape amid challenging times and by “free-spirited” Southern California living. The company is also updating the Lyndon collection to feature an attached pad on all rigid-core SKUs. All Lyndon Plus styles are now available in both Flexible Glue Down and Rigid Core HDC with attached pad. Novalis is also expanding its most popular collection, Serenbe, with two updated plank visuals and four stones.
Oriental Weavers has debuted new rug collections, including Caravan and Strada. Caravan, a polyester line power-loomed in Egypt, incorporates both space-dyed and shrink polyester yarns. The space-dyed effect in the yarn adds visual texture in beautifully rich and saturated shades of warm copper, luminous gold and deep indigo alongside softer tones of moss green, cool spa blue and subtle neutral greys. The shrink yarns, in deep shades of marine blue and charcoal, serve to create a multi-level effect for added tactility and surface interest. It’s available in 15 designs. Strada, a nylon/polypropylene product power-loomed in the U.S, is the latest addition to the Andorra, Evolution and Atlas collections and comes in ten designs.
QFloors has released QLeads, a new integration software that automatically uploads leads that are generated through a company’s website or other lead generation platforms. The company says that by eliminating the need to re-enter critical information like phone numbers, errors can be avoided, which saves teams time. The tool can be integrated with any website, including custom-built websites, and also helps retailers track product trends and performance. Retailers can see what products their potential new customers are most interested in and monitor and compare close rates from different sources. When a lead turns into a sale in a retailer’s QFloors system, it’s automatically updated in their QLeads system. Information about the customer, sale, materials and ticket price is shared, as well, giving retailers the ability to track effectiveness, trends and success ratios.
RFMS’ new customer relationship management?app offers sales staff the tools to keep track of leads and prospects, manage the sales workflow and communicate with customers. The company says the platform was built to manage the retail sales process from anywhere and integrates not only with the RFMS Core software but the RFMS Mobile and Measure Mobile apps, as well. Features include: ability to view and manage the opportunity “pipeline”; on demand reporting of win/loss ratios, time in each stage, days to close; customer’s own web portal to view and manage the project; company-wide calendar for salespersons and estimators; integration of personal calendar with Outlook and Gmail; tight integration with Measure Mobile and RFMS Mobile; and on-demand access to historical customer activity and remarks.
Shaw’s brands are unveiling new soft and hard surface releases this year. Anderson Tuftex has four new Stainmaster PetProtect lines. Purrfect Harmony is a tip-sheared loop design inspired by hand-carved Rococo scrollwork. It is available in 12 colors. Sheer Perfection is a stylized depiction of traditional folded-paper art. The fibers in this design make use of different cut-and-loop effects to create a layered geometric pattern. The line is also available in 12 colors. Purrfect Match, in eight colors, pulls inspiration from the multidimensional characteristics of sculptural glassworks. And Picture Purrfect is derived from the intricate Japanese art of Kumiko woodworking. It’s available in 12 colors, from soft neutrals to organic green and gold to deepest blue or brown.
Shaw Floors is adding new carpet styles to its Foundations collections, including Alluring Canvas and Fine Tapestry, which were inspired by the vastness of textures found in crafting textiles. For the budget-minded consumer, new styles are being rolled out in the Simply the Best Values collection: Framed View, inspired by block printmaking, a repeated element and the relationship of negative and positive space that creates the design; Iconic Way, based on an embroidery stitching technique known as couching, with a pattern of long coiled stitches; and Loop De Loop, inspired by macro-lens photography capturing organic elements down to the smallest detail.
The Coretec brand has new offerings for 2021. Coretec Advanced+ 9” is the largest mineral core product on the market at 9” wide and up to 86” long and features mixed lengths for design versatility and has fewer pattern repeats. It comes with a 15-year residential scratch warranty. Coretec Advanced+ 7” offers fewer pattern repeats and 15 wood looks. Its mineral core offers a 100% waterproof, kid-proof and pet-proof floor designed not to swell, cup or crack when exposed to water. Coretec Plus HD has updated visual innovations, such as realistic integrated bevels that allow the natural grain and character of the floors to shine and give the flooring a more authentic look. Coretec Stone is adding Lucetta and Ambienta, two travertine visuals, and Sirius, a concrete look, to its line. And Coretec Plus 5” is releasing three new colors for 2021: Ashton Woods Oak, Baywood Oak and Dodwell Oak-all 5”x48” and 8mm thick.
In hard surface, Shaw Floors is releasing new styles in the Floorté Elite Series: Prodigy and Prodigy MXL are 100% waterproof and feature Enhanced Natural Realism technology to more closely mimic true hardwood visuals. Prodigy MXL boasts multi-length, extra-long boards (up to 86”). Shaw Floors has also ventured into the high-end hardwood market with The Gallery Premium collection. New for 2021 is Castlewood Prime, inspired by West Coast style and the growing desire for cleaner, more sophisticated visuals. It’s a white oak that comes in three colors: Turret, Crown and Keystone.
Stanton’s new Dottie has a pebbled motif on a resilient plush base and is available in eight colors. It’s manufactured with 100% SD Royaltron polypropylene. Belladonna offers a mix of matte and shine in an abstract with six available colorways and is constructed with 70% Royaltron polypropylene and 30% Polysilk. Under the Crescent brand, there are three new introductions. Finnegan Stripe is an artistic ribbed wide stripe in New Zealand wool and is available in five colors. Champion Bay is an indoor/outdoor product made from UV-stabilized SD Polysilk with a textural chevron in several color combinations. New colors have been introduced into the Ticking Stripe II collection, which is a hand-loomed wool.
Also new are two intros in the Rosecore brand: Grandeur Lace, a lace-patterned hand-tufted wool broadloom available in six colors, and Metropolis Echo, a dimensional geometric hand-loomed wool. The Antrim brand is releasing Deva Defined, a hand-loomed wool and nylon product featuring a widthwise stripe in natural tones and available in seven colors, as well as Las Palmas, a wide stripe wool design on a misty palette and available in seven colors. And lastly, within the Hibernia brand is Countryside, an updated interpretation on a traditional stripe with a warm, multicolored palette for added dimension and depth. It’s a machine-tufted wool in five colors.
StonePeak Ceramics is introducing its newest porcelain tile collection, Wave, featuring subtle movement and neutral tones that range from serene greys to peaceful blues. The collection is available in honed and textured finishes, which carry the design from the interior to exterior. While the honed finish’s brilliant smooth design is ideal for the indoors, the textured finish provides extra grip for maximum slip resistance in outdoor spaces. The honed finish has a DCOF (dynamic coefficient of friction) of >0.45, and the textured finish has a DCOF of >0.65. Wave is available in five neutral colors-Ice, Sand, Ash, Seaweed and Coal-in 12”x24” and 24”x24”. The collection also features statement-making 2”x12” and 4”x4” mosaics and standard 2”x2” mosaics. The trim system includes a honed 3”x24” bullnose and 6”x12” cove base.
Teknoflor, part of the HMTX family, has launched Nature’s Tile and Plank HPD bio-polyurethane flooring in collaboration with Jason McLennan and McLennan Design. The collection offers 42 visuals, including abstracts that mimic both hard and soft surfaces, and a variety of planks inspired by the world’s most popular wood species. McLennan collaborated with Teknoflor on the design, focusing on a concept of “six degrees of separation” in which they designed the line around four geographical areas found within six degrees of one another, latitudes 34°-40°.
Välinge has launched its new Hardened Wood collection, integrating technology like Woodura and 5G Dry from parent company Välinge Innovation to create what is called “a whole new category of real wood floors.” The Woodura surface technology means consumers can now choose a real wood floor with up to five times the impact protection of a traditional hardwood floor while being much more sustainable. The composite engineered wood floors also feature 5G Dry, Välinge’s premium fold-down locking technology, offering waterproofness and stress-free installation, and 5G Climb, allowing the floor to be installed on walls by simply adding a small plastic clip. The line offers oak, ash, and walnut versions in 11 shades and an XXL option. The collection includes Oak Nature in Honey, a real wood oak floor with an added richness and warmth; Ash Select in Earth Grey, a toned-down shade to showcase the distinctive ash grain; Oak Nature in Hard Smoked, which adds a beautiful, deep chicness with its hard smoked richness and texture; and Walnut Nature in Natural, which highlights the walnut grain and deeper natural tone.
Wellmade has released commercially rated HDPC Waterproof Vinyl Tile with high-definition visuals, featuring “grout look” edges with embossed texture to rival the look of ceramic tile and natural stone. The line is available in 12”x24” tiles with attached pad for easy click installation on any level of the home or office. Rigid core HDPC construction hides subfloor imperfections and offers enhanced durability, and its stain-resistant wearlayer is perfect for high-traffic applications and may be damp-mopped for care-free cleaning and maintenance.
