Chinese Firm To Make Recycled Fiber in SC

Columbia, SC, Sept. 26, 2013 -- JN Fibers Inc., a Chinese manufacturer of recycled polyester staple fiber products, is establishing a new 600,000 square foot manufacturing facility in an existing building in Chester County.

Headquartered in Zhejiang, China, JN Fibers will recycle discarded soda and water bottles and transform them into recycled polyester staple fibers for use in textiles and other products.

The company plans to spend $45 million to retrofit the existing building as well as add building space.

The plant is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2014.

JN Fibers Inc. will operate the factory and market its products under their subsidiary Sun Fibers LLC.
