California Carpet Recycling Legislation Signed by Governor

Sacramento, CA, October 17, 2017-California governor Jerry Brown signed carpet recycling legislation that will help the state reach its target of emitting 40% fewer greenhouse emissions by 2030, reports Waste360.

The bill, AB 1158-written by assembly member Kansen Chu (D-Milpitas) and sponsored by the National Stewardship Action Council-requires manufacturers to implement a stewardship program that sets a carpet recycling goal of 24% by 2020.
