Year-Over-Year House Price Increase Steady
New York, NY, March 25, 2014 -- The S&P/Case-Shiller home price index rose 13.2% in January from the same month a year ago, a little less than expected by economists.
That followed an increase of 13.4% in December.
From December, U.S. home prices inched down 0.1% in January.
From the bottom in 2012, prices are up 23%.
Meanwhile, the Federal Housing Finance Authority said that home prices rose .5% in January from December.
