Three Ecore Employees Will Compete in 2016 Olympics

Lancaster, PA, July 31, 2015—Three part-time marketing employees at Ecore International will be heading to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro as part of the U.S. women’s field hockey team.

Defenders Lauren “Cranny” Crandall and Stefanie Fee and midfielder Katie Reinprecht helped lead the team to a 3-0 win over Canada in the Pan American Games semifinals in Toronto on July 29.

In addition to securing the team's berth at the 2016 games, the win also moved them to the Pan American final on July 31. They'll battle Argentina, which beat Chile 5-0 in another semifinal game.

A Doylestown, Pennsylvania native, Crandall is a two-time Olympian, having served as captain of the U.S. team at the 2012 London games and played with the 2008 squad in Beijing. Reinprecht, from Perkasie, Pennsylvania, was also on the 2012 Olympic team. Fee joined the national team in 2012.

Since 2013, the teammates have worked in the marketing department of Ecore Athletic, the sports and fitness division of flooring manufacturer Ecore International. They test products for the company, provide feedback to the designers, handle some social media duties and pitch Ecore's athletic line to coaches and trainers around the country.
