Textile Rubber & Chemical Forms Polymers Group

Dalton, GA, Nov. 21, 2012 -- Textile Rubber & Chemical Company said it has created a new polymers group within the company called the “TR Polymers Group” (trpolymers.com), effective Jan. 1.

The group will consist of three previously separate divisions; the Polymer Technology Group (Latex Chemicals), the Polyurethane Group (Polyurethane Chemicals and Backings Systems) and the ThermoTex Group (Thermoplastic Polymers and Coatings).

“Combining these three divisions will allow us to provide a clearer focus and path to our customers for chemistries, research and development, and innovations," said president Chip Howalt.

Mark Cline, a 28-year veteran with the company and currently vice president and general manager of the Polyurethane Group, will be promoted to vice president and general manager of the new group and will oversee all functions.
