September Retail Sales Below Estimates

New York, NY, Oct. 5, 2012 -- U.S. retailers’ September comparable store sales edged up 0.8%, below the 1.6% average estimate of analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters.

More than half of the retailers reporting sales missed Wall Street’s consensus expectations.
