Pergo, Classen Combine Fold-Down Patents

Kaisersesch, Germany, January 13, 2010--Classen and Pergo are combining their patents for fold-down technology and marketing them jointly worldwide.

Pergo features its PerfectFold technology, while Classen has its Megaloc patents.

“By bundling our rights, it is now easier to allocate licenses to all manufacturers," said Pergo CEO Ralf Eisermann.

"We are sure that this will be a major step forward in achieving the Pergo aim of making FoldDown the laying standards.”

Meanwhile, Valinge, which is also in the locking technology business, called the Classen and Pergo claims misleading, noting that the only system Pergo is using is Valinge's 5G system, which it licensed in 2007.
