Initial Jobless Claims Edge Higher

Washington, DC, Jan. 10, 2013 -- Initial applications for unemployment benefits increased by 4,000 to a seasonally adjusted 371,000 last week, the Labor Department said.

Economists expected claims to total 365,000.
