Washington, DC, July 22, 2014 -- Sales of existing homes rose 2.6% in June to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.04 million, according to the National Association of Realtors.
Theat was the the highest level since October, NAR said.
Economists expected the sales rate to increase to 5 million in June.
NAR also revised May's sales rate to 4.91 million.
The median sales price of used homes was $223,300 in June, up 4.3% from a year ago.
